Normanton Park by Kingsford Hurray
Perched atop undulating grounds of Kent Ridge Park, Normanton Park will likely become a distinctive feature of the island-state’s southern skyline. Adding on to the supply of new condos in District 5 condominiums, the new Normanton Park will be offering a total 1840 units of condominium comprising 1 Bedroom size of 484 sqft to 5 Bedroom size of 1615 sqft spread over 9 numbers of 24-storey towers, and rare 22 units of Terrace Houses (2110 sqft) with price tag starting $700K for residential condo and $3.4M for strata terrace houses. The development will also be supported with 8 numbers of commercial retail units: seven 43-44 sqm shops and one 104 sqm restaurant. The commercial units are priced from $2 million onwards.
Normanton Park was hit with no-sale licence nearly 2 years ago, received the green light to sell the units, but with conditions. The ban on sale of Normanton Park condos was applied in January last year after a raft of complaints from owners about shoddy workmanship and poor amenities at the developer’s other projects, including Kingsford Waterbay. To ensure that the interests of home buyers are protected, the Controller of Housing (COH) has required developer Kingsford Huray Development to complete a Quality Mark assessment for all units before applying for a temporary occupation permit (TOP). The scope of assessment includes the workmanship standards of internal finishes of the flooring, internal wall, ceiling, door, window and fixtures like wardrobes and kitchen cabinets, including water ponding tests for the bathrooms and toilets. The 100% unit Quality Mark assessment will be a blessing to all owners looking forward to hassle-free occupation of their new homes upon completion.
